Day 9 - Italy!! Vernazza and Pisa

Saturday, June 11th

We were back on the bus at the first of dawn to leave Nice and head to Italy!
We stopped in a small village on the Italian Riviera, Vernazza. It is basically a fishing village turned to tourism. One street that leads to the sea. We had to take a train to get to it and it was very much worth the effort.

From there we were on to Pisa!

And of course the obligatory leaning Tower pics!

So pretty much everywhere in Europe there are gypsies. Most begging, some pick pocketing, some trying to sell you selfie sticks. This was one of the first times I witnessed someone offering genuine entertainment for your money.

We left Pisa to head to our hotel for the next few nights which would be in Montecatina. Turned out to be a great little town and a really nice hotel. This would be the kids first encounter with... a bidet! Hilarity ensued and no I don't have pics.

Tomorrow FLORENCE!!
